We get it. We'll definitely miss you, but we get it. Consider raising awareness and making an impact on aneurysm and AVM research in YOUR neighborhood by registering as a "TAAFWalk My Town" participant.
Your hometown support is invaluable.
We can't be everywhere on May 3rd, but with your help we can do better. By TAAF Walking in your neighborhood, you're raising awareness exponentially, bringing your story to life and national attention to a cause that can save lives..
Need Help Getting Started?
We can help you locate a favorite park, share accurate aneurysm/AVM facts, you name it. And remember, each TAAF Walk My Town participant receives a walk t-shirt and qualifies for the same fundraising gifts as those in San Francisco*.
*TAAFWalk My Town gear ships after 5/8/2020.
Ready to Register?
As we've shared, TAAF Walk 2020 is an exciting, all-inclusive family event. You've also learned that there are 2 easy registration options: TAAFWalk SF or TAAFWalk MY Town. Once you've decided the kind of walker you want to be, you're ready to register today! CLICK Register Online below.
Why Register Online?
First, it's the least expensive option. Early Bird rates afford you the 15-year Anniversary rate of only $25. Secondly, we provide so many fun tools!!! Choose to create a team or individual fundraising page (registering YOURSELF at a minimum). Tell your story (definitely edit anything we wrote), update with photos and even use videos. Your pages are yours to individualize, so be as creative as you want.
Then SHAREyour team with friends who like to make a difference, friends who may register or donate in support of YOU... novel cerebrovascular research... and even increased awareness and advocacy within the greater aneurysm and AVM community. We're all over social media (FB, TW, IG). Ooh, and there's fundraising prizes (but more on that in another section). Don't forget that we're here to make the process easy; so have fun!
Please note: Registration rates lower for some children; lowest for EARLY Birds, and higher starting 4/1/2020. After this date, online registration will be open until noonFriday, May 1, 2020.
Registration Fee: $25 for Early Birds; $30 as of 4/1 and until 5/1 deadline.
Can I Register at the Walk?
We strongly encourage participants to register ONLINE and take advantage of the Early Bird Registration fee of only $25. However, Walk-Up Registration will be available on-site the day of the Walk at the Registration and Check-In Tables. Walk-up, DAY OF Registration Fee is $35.
Help Support TAAF's Work
Fundraising is not required but definitely encouraged! Every penny you raise helps better the medical care and support networks for those affected by brain aneurysm, AVM, and other vascular malformations of the brain.
Here are a few tools to help you fundraise and spread the word about the Annual Aneurysm and AVM Awareness Walk!
If you can say...
I want to START or JOIN a TEAM so that I will have a PERSONAL WEB PAGE where my supporters can make a donation and leave comments in support of my walk. CLICK Register Online.
If instead you can say...
I won't be fundraising this year, but I would like to make a general donation or tell others how to make a general donation to the Walk. CLICK donate.
Become a Sponsor Another important way to get involved is by sponsoring the TAAF Annual Awareness Walk. You'll be in great company with friends like Stanford, KCK Builders, and UCSF! Help support this community-building event through monetary sponsorships, or in-kind donations from your business to be used in our raffle or given away to participants. For more information, email us at walk@TAAFonline.org.

What to Bring
TAAF Walk 2020 is an outdoor, active event that happens rain or shine. We suggest that you wear comfortable/casual attire and shoes, and bring a hat, jacket and sunscreen. Think LAYERS so you're prepared. San Francisco spring weather is unpredictable! Some walkers choose to bring a blanket to sit on. We’ll provide food, but feel free to bring your own picnic.
Free parking is available at the East Beach Lot. It's first come, first served; access begins at 8:45AM. Additional free, parallel parking runs alongside the entirety of Mason St. Do no park at the Sports Basement. For paid parking options (max typically $8/day), consider using ParkMe. Most sites are a 5-10 min walk to the East Beach picnic area. Fan of your GPS? Use 1199 East Beach, San Francisco, CA 94129. Give yourself extra time and don't rely on it solely. Or if you can, choose ride-share!
