Research Grant

The Aneurysm and AVM Foundation (TAAF) seeks applications for scientific research projects that will significantly move the field forward toward effective understanding of the mechanisms of cerebrovascular disease as they relate to aneurysms, AVMs and complex vascular malformations.

The application period for the 2025 grant season is CLOSED!

The Aneurysm and AVM Foundation (TAAF) invites applications for scientific research projects that will advance our understanding of cerebrovascular diseases, specifically as they relate to aneurysms, AVMs, and complex vascular malformations. TAAF Grants aim to support innovative research strategies that can lead to novel therapies, improved clinical management, and better recovery outcomes for both adult and pediatric patients.

We strongly encourage early-career researchers to apply. Grants will be awarded up to a maximum of $25,000, with funds restricted to direct costs only. This opportunity is open to investigators at all stages of their careers, including those just starting their research journey.

Grant recipients will present their findings at TAAF’s Annual Meeting, traditionally held alongside the Annual Aneurysm and AVM Awareness Walk at the end of September. Please note, the meeting date and location are subject to change and will be announced at a later time. Awardees, or a representative, must attend the meeting to present their research.
